Cooking Time: 8-10 minutes
Total Time: 18-20 minutes
Intensity: Easy

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of French bread (or baguette), cut into slices or halves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or Parmesan cheese (optional, for cheesy garlic bread)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Bread:
    • Cut the French bread into slices or halves depending on the size of your air fryer.
  2. Make the Garlic Spread:
    • In a small bowl, combine olive oil or melted butter with minced garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Stir well to create a garlic herb spread.
  3. Spread the Mixture:
    • Generously brush the garlic spread onto each slice of bread.
  4. Optional Cheesy Topping:
    • If you want cheesy garlic bread, sprinkle shredded mozzarella or Parmesan cheese over the top of each slice.
  5. Air Fry the Bread:
    • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for a couple of minutes.
    • Place the prepared bread slices into the air fryer basket in a single layer.
    • Air fry for 5-7 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and golden. If adding cheese, cook until the cheese is melted and bubbly (about 7-10 minutes in total).
  6. Serve:
    • Remove the French bread from the air fryer and let it cool for a minute.
    • Serve warm, either plain or with your favorite dipping sauce like marinara or garlic butter.

Note: This Air Fryer French Bread is perfect as a side dish, snack, or appetizer. It gets crispy on the outside while staying soft on the inside. Add cheese to turn it into cheesy garlic bread for an extra layer of deliciousness!
