  • 2 large onions, cut into 1/2-inch thick rings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • Cooking spray

  1. Prepare Onion Rings:
    • Separate the onion slices into individual rings and set aside.
  2. Set Up Breading Stations:
    • In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
    • In another shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and buttermilk.
    • In a third shallow bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
  3. Bread the Onion Rings:
    • Dip each onion ring into the flour mixture, ensuring it is well-coated. Shake off any excess flour.
    • Next, dip the floured onion ring into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off.
    • Finally, coat the onion ring with panko breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to adhere.

    • Air fry for 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through the cooking time, until the onion rings are golden brown and crispy. Repeat with remaining onion rings.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve the onion rings hot, with your favorite dipping sauce.
