Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 12-15 minutes

Total Time: 27-30 minutes

Intensity: Easy

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (14.75 oz) salmon, drained and flaked
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (use almond flour for a low-carb option)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper (any color)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Salmon Mixture:
    • In a large bowl, combine the flaked salmon, breadcrumbs (or almond flour), chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, and chopped fresh parsley.
  2. Add the Wet Ingredients and Seasonings:
    • Add the mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the salmon mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  3. Form the Patties:
    • Using your hands, shape the salmon mixture into 6-8 patties, about 1/2 inch thick. Place the patties on a plate or tray.
  4. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  5. Cook the Salmon Patties:
    • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
    • Place the salmon patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
    • Lightly spray the tops of the patties with cooking spray for extra crispiness.
  6. Air Fry the Patties:
    • Cook the salmon patties at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time, until they are golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
  7. Serve:
    • Remove the salmon patties from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
    • Serve the salmon patties with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce, such as tartar sauce or a lemon-dill yogurt sauce.

Note: These air fryer salmon patties are a quick and healthy meal option. They are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, making them perfect for lunch, dinner, or even as a tasty appetizer. Enjoy!
