Cheese and Ham Frittata Stovetop Method

  • 8 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup diced cooked ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (any color)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)


  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Crack the eggs into a large bowl and whisk them together with the milk, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Cook the Vegetables:
    • Heat the olive oil or butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
    • Add the diced onions and bell peppers to the skillet and sauté for about 5 minutes, or until they are softened.
  3. Add Ham and Eggs:
    • Add the diced ham to the skillet and stir to combine with the vegetables.
    • Pour the egg mixture over the ham and vegetables in the skillet.
  4. Cook the Frittata:
    • Reduce the heat to low and cook without stirring for about 5-7 minutes, or until the edges of the frittata are set but the center is still slightly runny.
    • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the frittata.
  5. Finish Cooking:
    • Cover the skillet with a lid and continue to cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the eggs are fully set.
  6. Serve:
    • Remove the skillet from the heat and let the frittata sit for a few minutes before slicing.
    • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
    • Cut into wedges and serve warm.
